Jason Canales, Founder
With over 20 years of litigation experience, Jason Canales is a seasoned attorney representing clients in high-stakes disputes in federal and state courts, before regulatory agencies, and in arbitration proceedings. Prior to founding Canales, PLLC, Jason was a partner at a leading New York City law firm, where he developed a strong reputation for handling complex matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), FINRA, and the New York Attorney General’s Office.
In 2019, Jason established Canales, PLLC with the goal of delivering innovative and effective legal strategies tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses navigating complex legal challenges. He is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida.
Professional Involvement & Recognitions
Jason currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association and is an active member of the Federal Bar Council, the LGBT Bar Association, and the New York City Bar Association.
From 2015 to 2017, Jason was appointed as a Hearing Panel Member of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee by the Justices of the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, First Department, a recognition of his legal knowledge and reputation in the industry for his commitment to integrity and fairness.
Jason has received numerous accolades throughout his career. For over a decade, he has been recognized in New York Metro Super Lawyers, and in 2018, he was honored by the LGBT Bar Association as one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40.
