A Skilled Litigator With a Broad Range of Experience

Canales, PLLC is a minority-owned, full-service law firm focused on representing individuals and corporate clients in legal disputes involving commercial, business, real estate, employment and securities matters. Jason Canales has over 15 years of experience litigating in federal and state courts, and before regulatory agencies and arbitration tribunals. While working as a partner at a preeminent law firm in New York City, he first established his reputation as a leader in the legal industry working on complex federal and state court matters, and before regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, and the New York Attorney General’s Office. In 2019, Jason formed Canales PLLC with the goal of building a minority-owned law firm that taps into the diverse experiences of its professionals to provide clients with creative and cost-efficient solutions to their legal needs.

Jason is a member of the Board of Federal Bar Foundation and the Puerto Rican Bar Association. He is a Co-Chair of the Federal Bar Council’s Diversity Committee, and is also an active member of several bar associations, including the LGBT Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.

Committee members are appointed by the Court based on their legal knowledge and reputation in the industry for their commitment to integrity and fairness.

For the past nine years, Jason has been recognized in the New York Metro Super Lawyers publication. He was also recognized by the LGBT Bar as one of the best LGBT lawyers under 40 in 2018.
